Meet the Partners

David Fetherstonhaugh

David is a behavioral economist and design leader. He formerly led IDEO’s Design for Money Practice in Palo Alto, California. David leads transformative programs and projects for world class brands such as Google, Nike, Visa and T-Mobile. As a behavioral economist, David helps teams translate insights from behavioral science into a human-centered design approach for starting, spreading and sustaining new behaviors at scale. He holds a Master’s in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Stanford University.
Haakon Faste

Haakon is a design educator and innovation consultant. He is Associate Professor of Interaction Design at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, and from 2010-2013 he served on the faculty of the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Haakon holds a Ph.D. in Perceptual Robotics from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy, and a BA in physics and studio art from Oberlin College. A former leader of IDEO's Software Experiences practice, he has led design strategy and technology implementation projects for some of the world's most innovative corporations including Toyota, Microsoft, Bank of America and Cisco Systems.
