DAVID Fetherstonhaugh

David is a behavioral economist and design strategist. David formerly led IDEO’s Design for Money Practice in Palo Alto, California. He is dedicated to helping organizations transform their products, services and systems by re-shaping people’s physical, emotional and social experiences. As a behavioral economist, David helps teams translate insights from behavioral science into action by starting, spreading and sustaining new behaviors at scale. He has led large scale research projects within government and academia in the areas of health, terrorism and environmental protection. David earned a Master’s in statistics and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Stanford University.


Haakon Faste

Haakon is a design educator and innovation consultant. He is Associate Professor of Interaction Design at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, and from 2010-2013 he served on the faculty of the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Haakon holds a Ph.D. in Robotics from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy, and a BA in physics and studio art from Oberlin College. A former leader of IDEO's Software Experiences practice, he has led design strategy and technology implementation projects for some of the world's most innovative corporations including Toyota, Microsoft, Bank of America and Cisco Systems. 



Tim is a proven business management leader and experienced design consultant. For over 20 years, Tim has helped some of the premier innovation consultancies including IDEO and Method scale to be premier global businesses. He's done this in part by making sure that the focus of the firm is fixated on the clients business success. Tim also brings extensive experience in strategy and technology development, having guided dozens of companies from concept to public launch for clients such as Nike, Microsoft, HP, Audi, Siemens and P&G. Tim holds a Masters in Engineering Management from Stanford University.



Alessandro is an interaction designer who believes in the power of transparent behavior design to help people improve their lives. Alessandro works on financial services projects at the Wrecking Crew; he previously worked with Fuseproject. Alessandro has a BFA in Interaction Design from California College of the Arts, where he completed his thesis on accessible software systems for aging adults.



A native of China, Karen is a San Francisco-based UX and product designer. She has an architectural and design background, and previously worked at Microsoft on the Future of Office Intelligent Network. Karen graduated with distinction from the Interaction Design BFA program at California College of the Arts, where she designed a language assistant to help people learn culture nuances.



Joshua is a Los Angeles-based data scientist and strategist. He works at the intersection of algorithms and design to build human-centered, responsive systems that yield actionable insights for resolving complex challenges. Previously, he worked in public policy research at the RAND Corporation and at Nike in Beaverton, OR. Josh holds a PhD in statistics from UCLA.
